Robert 'Lee' Fox, 78, a longtime resident of Houston and Alvin, TX, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2018.\nLee, an identical twin, was born on October 27, 1939, in Indianapolis, IN, to 'Susie' and Harry Fox and was a graduate of El Campo High School. He spent a short time working at Monsanto in Alvin and then pursued a very successful career in Insurance Sales with Guarantee Mutual Life attaining the prestigious Presidents Cabinet Award for several years. His clients became his friends and many of them treated him like family.\nLee loved people, was a man of his word and never met a stranger. He loved dancing and traveling, especially cruising. Being the natural athlete he was, he enjoyed golfing, fly-fishing, skiing, tennis and played competitive USVBA volleyball into his late forties. He loved most becoming a father in his midforties and enjoyed being at his son, Devin's, side coaching Katy Pony Baseball.\nLee was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and 'Susie" Fox, sister Jackie Kelley Wilson, twin brother George 'Leland" Fox, nephew Chris Fox and former spouse Peggy Fox.\nLee is survived by his wife Beta Fox, son Devin Fox and wife Kelly, brother Charles Fox and wife Gloria, nephews Charles Weldon Kelley, Garrett Fox, Darren Fox and Chad Fox.\nLee's family wishes to thank the incredibly loving caregivers at Autumn Years Assisted Living in Houston, TX.\n\nIt was important to Lee that his body be donated to Baylor College of Medicine for scientific research and his family carried out his wishes.\nA Memorial Celebration of Life to fondly remember Lee will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Unity Church of Christianity, 2929 Unity Drive, Houston, TX 77057.
