Leonor Mata Obituary (1941

Leonor Mata, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She was born on November 06, 1941 in San Francisco Del Rincon, Guanajuato, Mexico and raised her children in Houston, TX. She retired from the Hyatt Regency after 25 years of service where she worked alongside her husband Abelino Mata. She loved her novelas and enjoyed cooking large traditional family meals. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her final years she spent most of her time with her beloved dog Selena who she adored more than anything. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ester Fonseca, her husband Abelino Mata, her sisters Salome and Maria De la Luz. She is survived by her sister, Maria. Her sons Andres, Manuel, Javier, Daniel, Bertha, Diana, David, Carlos and Raul. Along with their spouses and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00-3:00 pm on Sunday February 14th at Carnes Funeral Home, 1102 Indiana St. South Houston Tx 77587., The burial will take place on Monday February 15 at SouthPark Cemetery 1310 North Main St. Pearland, TX 77581.
