Julia Kathleen Jolly-Rodriguez Obituary (1950

Julia Kathleen Jolly Rodriguez passed away Saturday December 21st at UTMB in Galveston, TX. She was born in Vernon, Tx February 2nd, 1950 to Fred Pastel Jolly & Lucille Jolly. Julia resided in the Fort Worth/Grand Prairie area until relocating to Friendswood in 1996 after the passing of her younger sister, Vena. Julia became primary care giver for her sister's 7 children; Vena, Teresa, Stephanie, Joe Jr., Fred, Stephen, and Benjamin. Julia met the love of her life, William Rodriguez, in 2000; they married in 2002 and spent 17 loving years together. Julia was a member of Landmark Baptist Missionary Church in Texas City where she assisted in mentoring children in daycare. She is proceeded in death by her parents, brother: Burlan Jolly, Jackie Jolly, sisters: Patricia Steen, Cynthia Groesbeck, and Vena Tamayo. Julia is survived by her spouse, William (Billy) Rodriguez, her brother Thomas Jolly, and sister Sue Hulsey, sister in law and brother in laws, Laura and Tony Vargas and Cindy and Mario Acosta.as well as numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins. The memorial service will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church 311 N Logan St Texas City, TX at 10:30 AM on Friday January 3,2020 with services provided by Brother Mark Smith.
