Judi Terry Lemley Obituary (1948 - 2022)

Judi Terry Lemley of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the age of 74 from complications of Parkinson's disease. Judi is the beloved wife of 54 years to Walter Lemley and cherished mother of Guy, his wife April, Tiffany, and Vance. Also left to cherish Judi's memory are her beloved grandchildren Travis, Bre, Brooke, Parker, Andrew, Makenna and Peyton and great grandchildren, Quinn and Zoey; wonderful brothers Bill and Bob Terry and a host of other dear family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Gertie Terry, her sister and brother-in-law Dee and Sonny Rollins. Judi was born in Athens, TX on February 28, 1948. She grew up in East Texas until she moved to Houston at the age of 16, after the passing of her parents. There she met her husband, Walter, who was introduced to her by her cousin Jackie and Jackie's husband Jack. She worked as an accounting and payroll clerk at the University of Houston, San Jacinto College, and Lubrizol. She was most proud of her role as Mom and Mimi. Judi was a committed mother, incredible grandmother, and foundation of support for her family. She enjoyed cooking and providing for others, especially her loved ones. She never missed her children's sporting events and performance activities. She loved going on shopping sprees with her family and taking the grandkids to Mr. Gattis. Taste of Texas is where you would find Judi every year in celebration of her birthday and anniversary. She appreciated a good love story and enjoyed resting on the sofa with her husband, watching a hallmark romantic classic. She spent many hours making tie blankets, photo albums and recipe boxes for her loved ones. Giving gifts brought her great joy and happiness. Judi, thank you for being such a wonderful role model and for loving us all unconditionally. Your memories and traditions will live on through us.
