Jimmy Roy Hendricks, Sr. Obituary (1944 - 2020)

Jimmy Roy Hendricks Sr. passed away on February 29, 2020. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bert Young Hendricks and Arvie Betty Hendricks on August 13, 1944. He is preceded in death by his father Bert Y. & his mother Arvie B. Hendricks; brothers Bert T., Arthur, Doyle, & Bob; sisters Ramona & Rosie; and his daughter Holly Michelle Hendricks. Cherishing Jimmy's memory is his wife of 41 years, Marcia D. Hendricks; son Jimmy R. Hendricks Jr. & his wife Jamie Renee; seven grandchildren Chelsea, John, Melissa, James, Jacalyn, Julie & Jessica; sisters Vivian, Francis (Ginger) & Opal (Sandy) and many nieces and nephews; and many others who loved him. Jimmy was a jack of all trades, carpenter, retired mail carrier and a retired OTR truck driver where he and his best fur friend, Ramses, and his wife, Marcia, traveled all over the lower 48 states, Canada and Alaska. He loved being a private pilot, fishing, and had a passion for motorcycles but he especially loved and would do anything for his Grandkids. A very patriotic Army Veteran Combat Medic of the Vietnam War, Bronze Star recipient and a proud Mason of 40 years. Jimmy had an amazing smart aleck sense of humor and was loved by everyone he got to know (unless you were a contractor doing work for him). Jimmy is truly loved and will be sorely missed.
