Edward Lee Ford Sr. Obituary (1956 - 2017)

Edward Lee 'Woosie' +Ford Sr was born August 10, 1956 in Wharton, Texas. He was the oldest of three children born to Gladys Ford Schooler and Ruben Ford Jr. Edward was educated in the El Campo school district and graduated from El Campo High School in 1974. He relocated to Texas City, Texas where he married Janice Ford in 1975. To this union, two children were born: Edward Lee Ford Jr and Rhonda Ford. He was a hard worker and spent most of his career working for the Texas City Independent School District where he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice, and parents Gladys Ford Schooler and Ruben Ford Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Edward Ford Jr (Tamika); his daughter Rhonda Ford; his sisters Geneva Ford Wilson, Nancy Ford Ball and LaWanda Allen; grandchildren Edward Ford III and Brooklyn Ford; Nieces Jameca Greer, Romeisha Bradshaw, Katriese Ford, Keidra Grundy, Shawanda Ford; and nephews Broderick Ford, Jerrin Ford and Kelly Harrison along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 324 4th ave north, Texas City, Texas 77590 beginning at 10am with the church service to begin at 12pm.
