Donald Ray Stewart, 73, Cypress, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2014, with his wife and three daughters by his side.\nDon was born in Clovis, New Mexico to Herman L. and Leah (Clark) Stewart. Don grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas, graduating from Fayetteville High, and was a member of Wiggins Memorial Methodist Church where he met and then married the love of his life, Barbara Jane Vaughn, on March 22, 1959. Don was a Veteran who served in the United States Air Force from 1959-1967. After his honorable discharge, Don attended the University of Arkansas receiving his Accounting Degree in 1971. He was hired by Cities Service upon graduation and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he and his family lived for 17 years. Don was transferred to the CITGO Refinery in Lake Charles, Louisiana where he and Barbara resided for the last 25 years. Don served as Chair of the Supervisory Committee on the Board of Directors at CSE Credit Union in Lake Charles. He was a member of University United Methodist Church. His daughters convinced him that he and Barbara should move to Houston, Texas where he spent his last days in his new home. Don enjoyed fishing, woodworking, spending time with his grandsons and his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.\nDon was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Melissa Anne Fitzmorris. Don is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara Vaughn Stewart; daughters Mari Stewart (Fritz) Wiest, Teresa Stewart (Norman) Power, and Carol Stewart (Brian) Steele; grandchildren Stewart, Erik, Riley, Chris and Nicholas; sisters Martha (Joe, dec.)
