Ardith Henney Reilly Obituary (1919 - 2018)

Ardith Henney Reilly, 98, passed away on Sunday April 15th, 2018 in Baywind Village Convalescent Center in League City, Texas. She was born, November 28, 1919 in McIntosh Minnesota to Lydia and Albert Matheson. It was there that she was raised by her mother and loving step-father, Dr. William Henney. She grew up with four brothers and two step sisters She is survived by her brother Bill Henney. She served as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy during World War II where she met and married William M. Reilly. Making their home in New Jersey and Houston where she raised her family and served as a loving mother, gracious homemaker and quiet role model. She was known for her kindness, gentleness and grounded personality. Her beloved son, Basil preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Mark Reilly Sr., spouse Rose; Anne-Catherine Holmgreen, Mary Christian, spouse Reid, and Nancy Hutzler, spouse Paul. Her four grandchildren Reilly Holmgreen, spouse Staci; Elana Cleveland spouse Dan; Elizabeth Jagunic spouse Matt; and Mark Reilly Jr. will miss her loving care and thoughtfulness. She is also survived by four great grandchildren Miss Reilly, Hayden, Claire and Ryan. Her many nieces and nephews were graced to have called her "Auntie Ardith". Interment at Arlington National Cemetery is planned for a future date.
