Danny Michael Sanders Sr. Obituary (1955 - 2021)

Danny Michael Sanders Sr. (better known as Mike) was born in Dallas, Texas on September 28, 1955. He passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the age of 65 years old, at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Born in Dallas, Texas, he was the son of George and Joyce Sanders. He graduated from Texas City High School. In his younger years he worked as a masonry and roofer. Later in life he found a love for driving truck and drove dump trucks most of his life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and working on automobiles. He will be remembered for helping friends and family, telling corny jokes, and loving his family. He was predeceased by George Sanders (father), Joyce Sanders (mother), Kenneth Sanders (brother), Sharon Busbee (sister), Brenda Hulsey (sister), and Janice Bilberry (sister). He is survived by ex-wife and lifelong friend, Tammy Sanders; children, Carolyn May and husband William Gates, Danny Sanders Jr., Bobby Laymance and wife Kayleen Laymance, Sharon Sanders, Jessica Sanders, and Daniel Rilea; grandchildren; Stephen Gates, Shyann Sanders, Ethan Sanders, Gabriel Sanders, Emma Sanders, Lydia Sanders, Ayden Laymance, Billy Rife Jr. (little Billy), Braiden Sutton, Nathan Sanders, Gracelynn Theiler, Khloe Stark, Haeven Massie, Daniel Rilea Jr., and Dallas Rilea; sister, Gloria Damon; brother, Thomas Sanders; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. The family will greet guests starting at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 followed by 3:00 p.m. Memorial Services at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX 77590.
