Caesar Worran Bates Obituary (1938 - 2020)

Caesar Worran Bates was born to the late George Bates Sr. and Susie Bates on December 1938 in Waterproof, Louisiana. He entered heaven at 81 years of age on Saturday December 5th2020 at his home in Houston, Texas just shy of his 82ndbirthday. He grew up in Louisiana where he worked for the Coca Cola company before he relocated to Texas and was employed by the city of Houston as a surveyor, from which he retired. He was preceded in death by his wife Margorie (Lockett) Bates. Three siblings: Mary Nell, Robert (Pete), and George Bates Jr. (CB) He is survived by three children: Richard, Ray A. Brooks, and Barbara Thompson. Three grandchildren: Raydiance Brooks, Joshua, and Jeremy Thompson. And his caring son in law, Brian Thompson. He was an avid sports fan, you would often find him sitting in his favorite chair watching the game. From time to time he would garden and tend to his fruit trees. On Sundays he faithfully attended Joy Missionary Baptist Church where he was a dedicated usher. Caesar W. Bates bids a gracious farewell to a host of several family and friends.
