Billie T Dickson Obituary (1947 - 2013)

Billie T. Dickson, age 66, passed away at Mainland Center Hospital on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Born October 9, 1947 in Rusk, TX, Billie was a lifetime resident of Texas City, TX. Billie was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and became a chief engineer on the Galveston ferry for 34 years. Billie is proceeded in death by his father, Aris Dickson, mother, Edna Hancock Dickson, and wife Barbra Dickson. Survivors include his son, Robert Dickson of Seabrook, TX, sister, Linda Dickson Acker and husband Lonnie of Jacksonville, TX, brother Alton Ray Dickson and wife Joyce of Clinton, TN, stepchildren Cathy Henry, Connie Sunday, and Cindy Self. Also nephews and niece John Stamm, Ray Dickson Jr and family, and Becky Dickson Russell and son, and numerous other family members and friends. Billie will have a small family memorial at Carnes Funeral Home on Friday afternoon then will be cremated as he requested.
