Augustine A. Jensen Obituary (1931 - 2014)

Augustine (Tenie) Achille Jensen, 83, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Mainland Medical Center. She was born January 19, 1931 and raised in Galveston, Texas. After she married the love of her life, Harry D. Jensen Sr, they moved to Hitchcock, Texas to start their family. She was a very dedicated wife and loving mother. Although her main job was homemaker she was also dedicated to her church and was always willing to serve. She is preceded in death by parents; father, Nicolo Achille, mother, Eda Achille, husband, Harry D. Jensen Sr, brother, Plosito Achille, and son-in-law James Grauel Jr. She is survived by daughters, Joyce Crow and husband Jerry, Madeline Jensen-Grauel, sons, Harry D. Jensen Jr, Nicolo Jensen and wife Cynthia; granddaughters, Jeri Lynn Patterson and husband Clay, Lauren Coffman and husband Cassidy, great-granddaughter, Aubrey Patterson; sisters, Catherine Glover, Frances Harbour, Orlena King and husband John, Mary Achille and husband Tomasso ; brother, Nicolo (Nicky) Achille Sr. and wife Linda and many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. Pallbearers: Tom Glover, John King Jr., David Achille, Nicolo (Bubba) Achille Jr., Anthony Tranchina, Norman Horton. Honorary Pallbearers: Nicolo (Nicky) Achille Sr., Tomasso Achille, Gerry Achille, Gary Hensley, Ronnie Hensley Visitation will be held 5-7pm with the Rosary to follow on February 20, 2014 at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 2pm at St. Mary of The Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City, Texas. The Rite of Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The reception will immediately follow burial at St Mary's Ponzini Hall.
