Tonie Bertha Hicks Obituary (1927

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7 Tonie Bertha Hicks was born May 3, 1927 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Lorenzo Francis and Mary Mullins and later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. Tonie cherished her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, playing bingo, and loved helping others. Tonie accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized at Jewell St Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. M.L.Harris and remained there until she moved with her daughter to Texas and joined Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. A.S. Johnson. Tonie departed this life on Monday, March 30,2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Evans Hicks, father, mother, and two great grandsons. The memory of Tonie Hicks will be forever cherished by her daughter Essie Tisino of Lamarque, Tx, granddaughter Valarie Davis of Cedar Park, Tx, grandson Adrian Tisino (Blanche) of Dickinson, Tx, great grandson Scott Davis and great granddaughter Sasha Davis of Cedar Park, Tx and a host of family and friends. Graveside service will be held Saturday April 11th at 12 noon at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Tx officiated by Rev. Marc D. James, Senior Pastor Jerusalem Baptist Church. Services are limited to 10 people per county orders.
