Mrs. Lucinda Brown was born on March 9, 1922, in Jamaica to Daniel and Amelia Brown. She was blessed to have Christian parents, therefore her early spiritual journey was nourished and she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized. She was educated in the public schools of Jamaica. Miss Darling as she was lovingly called by family and friends was an operator of a grocery store, where she infused the lives of countless others. Her passion for nurturing children would lead her to start a lunch program for school children who could not afford to buy lunch. She served as a second mother to many of the children in her community, her many acts of kindness were known throughout the surrounding towns. But, as much as she gave to her career and community, she worked even harder at being a wonderful mother to Vincent and Joyce. She was a jewel to her family, church and community. She was a devoted and active member of Sawyers Methodist Church in her district. In 1995 the road from Jamaica would lead Miss Darling to the United States. She was welcomed by her son and daughter in law, Vincent and Hyacinth Brown. She joyfully united with Abundant Life Christian Center in La Marque. She trusted the Lord with all her heart and she stood on His word daily to draw strength for her earthly journey.\n\nOur Heavenly Father dispatched His Angel to the bedside of His beloved daughter, Lucinda Letitia Brown in the wee hours of the morning of January 23, 2017 with her beloved son and daughter in law at her side.
