Judith 'Judy' Hernandez Obituary (1959 - 2013)

Judith Lynn Hernandez was born on May 15, 1959 at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston, Texas to Betty and Fred Finger. Judy touched the lives of everyone she knew with her courage, strength, and her wonderful smile. Her hobbies included doing puzzles, cooking, taking pictures, making home videos, and most of all spending time with her family. Her skills and qualities shone through in her work as a florist, in the sales department, and at home with her family. Her family will miss her terribly, but we will take courage and comfort knowing that she is starting a new journey with her beloved son Michael. It brings tears to our eyes and comfort to our hearts that they will both be watching over us from paradise. Judy was married to her beloved husband Guillermo (Willie) Hernandez Jr. for 26 years. She is survived by four sons and their spouses: Will and Annie; Fabian and Stephanie; Christopher and Alishia, and the youngest son Derrick and fiance Tyler. Judy was also blessed with two daughters Courtney and spouse Scott and the youngest Rhiannon and spouse David. Her siblings include her wonderful sisters Janice and Victoria, inspirational big brother Perry, and her youngest brother Matthew. Judy was also treasured and loved by 18 grandchildren who will remember her in all her loving ways.
