Juanita Cone, 81, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2015 while surrounded by loved ones.\nJuanita loved spending time with her family and dear friends doing things such as going to the beach, fishing, cooking, quilting, and card making. She had a generosity that is rare, and would give anything possible to someone in need. Juanita's greatest legacy of all was showing others how to live, even when confronted with illness. She encountered a 31 year battle with cancer, and never let it shake her faith, happiness, or sense of humor. Her strength and firm belief in the Lord supported her in this fight and ultimately gave her peace. She viewed every day as a gift from God and lived life to the fullest.\nJuanita is survived by her husband, Phillip "Buddy" Cone; her sister, Josie Lucille Hammond; her children Hubert Harrell and wife Holly, Lovette "Mary" Bales and husband Joel, Charles Cook and wife Kerri; her grandchildren John Duncan, Brian Harrell, Taylor Bales, Andrea Chvatal, Nita Bales, Karrie Cook, Hailey Cook, and Hayden Cook; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents M. Ramires and Irene Ramires Jarvis.\nA memorial service to celebrate Juanita's life will be held at His Touch Worship Center at 2371 East Bayshore Dr, San Leon, Texas on February 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service.
