Jermaine Henri Belle Obituary (1980 - 2020)

Jermaine Henri Belle was born Tuesday, July 28, 1980 in Galveston, Texas to Barbara Belle and Henry Baker (deceased). He was the second child of three siblings. Jermaine was raised in LaMarque, Texas where he spent a lot of time in the great outdoors with his grandfather George teaching him to fish, to shoot, and to hunt. Duke, as Jermaine was lovingly called by his grandfather, also enjoyed off-roading ATVs and dirt bikes as a young boy. As a child - and well into adulthood - Jermaine loved to play video games. During Jermaine's grade school years, he was a boy scout, and he played several team sports including baseball and football. After Jermaine was diagnosed with a rare and serious cardiovascular condition in his late teenage years though, many of his favorite physical activities became limited. Despite his health prognosis Jermaine continued to live a full life on his own terms. Jermaine had two children, who were his greatest joy and blessings in life. Jermaine prayed to live long enough to see his children graduate from school. He was a very proud parent when his first child, Jermaine Jer'Shon Belle graduated Class of 2020 from LaMarque High School. Jermaine cherished spending time with his daughter, Kayla Janiece Belle who he deeply loved and adored. When Jermaine departed this life on Monday October 26, 2020 he was preceded in death by his father Henry, grandfather George and grandmother Lucille, and brother Jerome. Jermaine is survived by his mother Barbara, son Jermaine, daughter Kayla, sister Jessica, niece, nephew, grandmother, uncles, aunts, several close relatives and dear friends. Jermaine will always be loved and remembered for his bright smile, for his magnetic presence, his sense of humor, and generous spirit.
