Janet Ann Burch Obituary (1954 - 2022)

Mrs. Janet Ann Burch, age 68, passed away on March 31, 2022 in Tyler, TX at 8:40 pm. Janet was born January 25, 1954 in Tampa, Florida to Don R. Parker and Billie Jane Parker. Janet married Peter L. Burch on July 22, 1978 in Houston, TX and also became a mother to Tracy Zervas and Christi Wedel. Janet was preceded in death by her father Don R. Parker, her mother Billie Jane Parker and her eldest brother John. She is survived by her husband Peter Burch and her sister Mary Connell and her husband Fred Connell, and her brother Bill Parker and his wife Elyse Parker. She leaves behind (4) children; Tracy Zervas, Christi Wedel, David William Burch and his wife Chesley, and Laura Renee Burch; as well as her (2) nieces Lauren Parker Homan and her husband Ben, and Ashlyn Parker Egger and her husband Marcus. She also leaves behind (6) grandchildren and (3) great-grandchildren; Zach Zervas and his wife Casey, Erika Wedel Sebastian and her husband Timothy, Jacob Zervas, Gavin Barrett, Averie Williams, Austin Rush, Aaron Williams, Hadley Zervas, Maison Villegas and Carson Zervas. Janet was a beloved wife and fun outgoing mother who was very involved in her children's lives. She was a girl scout leader, pageant, and drill team mom for her daughter Laura and a soccer, cheer, and theater mom to her son David. Janet was a homemaker by day and a DJ by night during her years in Mineral Wells, TX. She also served as an activity's director for a local nursing home and worked as a long term substitute teacher before moving to Tyler, TX in 1999. Janet will always be known as the festive, free spirited, life of the party. Her doors were open to family and friends whom she made quite easily. She was the fun mom and was always open and available to those who confided in her. Janet enjoyed cruises, traveling and frequent spontaneous trips with her grandchildren whom she adored. She also enjoyed crafts, dump painting and gardening. Janet served as a caretaker in her last years as she battled Parkinson's Disease alongside her husband Peter and their Parkinson's support group, Rock Steady Boxing. Janet's services will be held Thursday April 7, 2022. Visitation will be held at Grace Community Church from 9:30am to 11:00am, followed by her Celebration of Life Memorial Service from 11:00 to 12:00pm. Grace Community Church is located at 3215 Old Jacksonville Hwy Tyler, TX 75701. Graveside services will be at Cathedral in the Pines from 12:30pm to 1:00pm at 7825 S Broadway Ave Tyler, TX 75703.
