Buddy Dean Price Obituary (1934 - 2012)

Buddy Dean Price, 78, passed away November 3, 2012. He was born January 22, 1934 in Snyder, Texas to William Ray and Eugenia Bell Price. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eugenia Price; brothers, William (Bill), Charles, Dale, Donald, Jackie, and Tommy; sisters, Margaret and June; and granddaughter, Melissa. He is survived by loving wife, Patricia Ann Lumpkin Price, Texas City Texas; brother, Ben Price, Norman Oklahoma; son and daughter in law, Ron and Diane Price, Sugarland Texas; daughter and son in law (& best friend), Trish and Howard Bryant, Bacliff Texas; daughter and son in law, Becky and David Strom Sr, Texas City Texas; daughter and son in law, Cathy and Kevin McIlveen, Friendswood Texas; grandchildren, Steven and Yolanda Cheek, Debra Gunn, Eric and Raven Price, Jason and Shelley Price, Stephanie and John Leal, April and Dennis Feray, David Strom Jr, Chris Strom and Jennifer Kristoff, Brian Strom and Rachel Cheek, Kasey McIlveen, Kelsey McIlveen, Hunter McIlveen; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family, and friends. Buddy was loved, respected, and will be greatly missed, by all that knew him. He took pleasure in spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of his favorite pastimes was playing (& winning) Gin and he quickly took advantage of any opportunity to play (& win). The family expresses sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, and Hospice Care Team who treated Buddy with care and dignity as he began his final journey. A memorial service to celebrate Buddy's life and honor his memory will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church (3610 FM 646 East, Dickinson TX 77539).
