Sylvester Thompson, Jr. was born on June 26, 1955 to the late Sylvester, Sr. and Rosetta Carter Thompson in Woodville, MS. He passed away on April 12, 2012 at his home in Santa Fe, TX, with his wife and children at his side.
Sylvester was an owner of a trucking company , long haul truck driver and an auto and truck mechanic. He was a man of many trades and talents he also owned an auto salvage yard “TNA Auto Parts” that he managed with his wife and children. He married the love of his life Laura Almendarez on November 5, 1988 and was married for 24 years.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife Laura; children, Marion D. Thompson, Ronveyar Thompson, Kayhla Thompson,, Sylvester Andre Thompson, Sylvester P. Thompson, Jr., Queen Rosetta Marie Thompson, Chantal Thompson, and Durlentren Thompson; brothers and sisters, William Thompson, Leroy Thompson, Calvin Thompson, Gloria Dean, Aaron Thompson, Diane Carter, Brenda (Claude) Dunn, stepsisters, Katrina (Dewayne) Anthony, Tanneshe Netta Williams, Mildred Scott; stepbrothers, Jacaranda Williams; grandson KeAndre A. Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday April 14, 2012 at Carnes Funeral Home, Texas City, from 4 PM till 7 PM. A funeral service will be held Sunday April 15, 2012 at Carnes Funeral Home, Texas City, at 1PM with a Committal Service immediately following at the Alta Loma Cemetery.
